There was more Art Deco in Denmark than one might initially think, and Vejen Art Museum has done an exemplary job of unearthing the Danish version and showing how appealing it was.
The textile discipline is being celebrated in Designmuseum Danmark’s new major exhibition Trykkraft. Textile printing is afforded an exceptionally dignified status, with thoughtful interpretation and elegant presentation, according to exhibition reviewer Charlotte Jul. Eight living Danish textile printers have created new works specifically for the exhibition, which also incorporates the museum’s extensive textile collection.
